Help Your Child to Pass Time in a Productive and Fun Way with These Two Kid Friendly Crafts

Keeping your kiddos entertained is no easy feat, especially during those long stretches of winter and summer break, respectively. If you’ve run down your usual list of kid-friendly movies, books, and board games, consider a completely new realm of options with a DIY project or two! These two kid-approved crafts are affordable, fun, and great to do together as a family. Better yet, they rely on items you already have lying around your apartment home. Give one – or both – of them a shot today, and you’re in for hours upon hours of fun with your little one!

Magnetic Tic Tac Toe

Materials:

  • Cardboard
  • Magnets
  • Glue gun
  • Marker
  • A large magnetic surface, like your fridge

Instructions:

Cut circles out of cardboard. You need 10 of them. Then, using a marker draw five Xs and five Os. Flip the cardboard circles over and, using hot glue, attach the magnet pieces. To play Tic Tac Toe, use a dry-erase marker to draw a big hashtag sign on the fridge and let the fun begin.

  • 1/2 cup salt
  • 2 tablespoons cream of tartar
