Join The Ensemble Theatre for a tale relating a Christmas miracle that connects a community and gets everyone into the holiday spirit. Infused with original new songs, this play tells the story of Ella Washington, owner of a family soul food restaurant in Florida whose motto is, “when you give to others, it comes back to you.” Soulful Sounds of Christmas is a heart-warming story that shines light on family, the art of giving and love as the true meaning of Christmas.
This story is centered on two sisters, Ella Mae and Mattie, who win a trip to Disney World during a Christmas Eve game of bingo. On their way to the airport, they see a family getting kicked out of their house and Ella Mae, known as the do-gooder, cancels her Christmas vacation with her sister to save a family in need. These two sisters and their sly brother, Gilbert, save the day and show the greatness of friendship and family.
